Job summary

HealthBridge Financial in Chicago seeks a highly technical Controller to lead accounting operations, build scalable processes, and automate the monthly close within a growing healthcare receivables finance platform.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, experience with Sage Intacct, and collaboration with operations, FP&A, and external auditors to improve reporting accuracy and cash management in a hybrid, downtown Chicago setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with close and financial reporting.
• Healthcare finance, receivables purchasing, factoring, or related asset-backed finance experience required.
• Advanced Excel and ability to work with large datasets.
• Sage Intacct experience; Brex and Amazon QuickSight strongly preferred.
• Experience building rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts.
• Proven track record of automating accounting workflows and creating efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and improve speed and accuracy.
• Maintain GL integrity, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation.
• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers as needed.
• Own and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, including scenario analysis.
• Build scalable workflows and reporting using Sage Intacct, Brex, and Amazon QuickSight.
