Job summary

Mercy Health’s Springfield Regional Medical Center seeks a Quality Outcomes Specialist to ensure high-quality care that meets regulatory standards and payor expectations. The role supports quality reviews, reporting and performance improvement across the organization.

It requires an RN or PT license, BSN or higher preferred, and at least 2 years of clinical experience. The position is 40 hours weekly, on-site in Springfield, with opportunities to advance patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current clinical license (RN or PT) in the state or compact.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Masters/Doctorate in healthcare-related field preferred.
• 2 years of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in evaluation, monitoring and compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Prepares and submits quality reports for external agencies and payors.
• Supports quality, patient safety and performance improvement committees and projects.
• Promotes practices to detect and mitigate harm and improve patient safety.
• Utilizes data analytics to achieve organizational goals and improve quality.
