Job summary
MercyOne Medical Group seeks a Quality & Safety Excellence Nurse to support and implement quality initiatives, regulatory requirements, and high reliability in patient care. The role partners with leaders, clinicians, and risk management to advance patient outcomes and safety programs across MercyOne Trinity Health.
The nurse will monitor CMS and Joint Commission indicators, develop reports, and educate staff on requirements, working within a multidisciplinary team to reduce harm and improve
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required; RN license in Iowa
- Minimum 3 years in healthcare; hospital improvement experience preferred
- Proficiency with documentation, reporting systems, and MS Office tools
Responsibilities
- Identify quality and safety issues and collaborate with stakeholders to address.
- Coach for problem solving to improve outcomes and patient experience.
- Input, aggregate and analyze data for quality measurement and reporting.
- Create reports, scorecards and graphs to communicate data analysis and insights.
- Participate in CMS and TJC indicator monitoring and regulatory reviews.
- Lead/participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees.
