Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a Quality Improvement Specialist to deploy quality methodology and tools, drive improvement, and assure regulatory compliance with TJC, AHCA, and CMS. The role collaborates with SMHCS to achieve dramatic improvements in key business processes.

The specialist coaches leaders in QI methods, educates leadership staff, and builds organizational competency and confidence in process and performance improvement tools.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida (active, eligible or retired).
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field; four (4) years of relevant experience in QI and/or statistical analysis can substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality improvement and/or statistical analysis in an acute hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy quality methodology and tools to drive improvement.
• Assure regulatory compliance (TJC, AHCA, and CMS) and collaborate with SMHCS to achieve improvement in key business processes.
• Coach leaders in their use of QI methods and analysis; educate leadership staff in tools and methods.
• Foster organizational competency and confidence in process and performance improvement methods and tools; reports to Manager, Quality Improvement Patient Safety.
