Healthcare Provider IT Client Relationship Manager (Associate Director)

Overview

Client Relationship Managers are key contributors to the commercial side of Cognizant's IT and Consulting Business. They support the Client Partner and act as business owners for assigned accounts, leading the day-to-day activities and P&L of these accounts. The CRM works with delivery teams to enhance backlog, optimize resource mix, and navigate scope changes to meet client expectations. They aim to establish a positive client experience. Shared measures include margin, revenue, client satisfaction, and employee retention. Role-specific measures are renewal win rates, revenue, and margin.

Role Details

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director level Healthcare Provider IT Client Relationship Manager responsible for growing a provider client in the South United States. The role involves managing business development, delivery objectives, P&L, customer satisfaction, and overall account relationships.

Location & Travel

The candidate must reside within the Tampa Bay, Florida area and be able to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Balance business development and sales responsibilities while managing delivery quality and strategizing for account growth.
  2. Drive profitable growth through new, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
  3. Understand client needs and apply service knowledge to meet those needs, identifying initiatives to help clients achieve their goals.
  4. Grow the client relationship by identifying new business opportunities.
  5. Build and maintain relationships across client organization levels, including regular meetings with decision-makers.
  6. Collaborate across service lines and teams to develop and execute business plans.
  7. Drive execution of innovation agendas.
  8. Participate in deal reviews, develop solutions, and ensure timely proposal submissions.
  9. Forge partnerships and leverage existing alliances to grow the account.
  10. Manage account operations, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L.
  11. Focus on revenue and profit growth within set timelines.
  12. Increase Cognizant’s visibility in the industry and account.
Required Experience
  • 15+ years in client-facing or account leadership roles in IT professional services or management consulting.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and working in multicultural environments.
  • Strong knowledge of US healthcare, technology landscape, and trends.
  • Proven track record in managing portfolios involving sales and annuity business.
  • Relationship-building skills and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to navigate large organizations and influence through confidence and content.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Educational qualifications: MBA, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
  • Deep experience and credibility in the US Healthcare Provider domain.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience closing large managed services deals.
