Job Details

Summary: The Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area to meet existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. They will discuss and demonstrate how company products can help clients achieve their goals and meet patient needs. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving sales goals, company objectives, and increasing sales revenue.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Territory Manager to provide case coverage and ensure positive clinical outcomes for patients.
  2. Serve as the primary resource for clinical support, including coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
  3. Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  4. Inform customers about the latest product, therapy, and technology developments in the industry by engaging in procedural and technical discussions.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to link clinical data to key messaging.
  6. Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, and provide creative and feasible solutions using company products.
  7. Transfer account knowledge and other requested information to the local Territory Manager weekly.
  8. Maintain excellent interpersonal skills and a strong clinical orientation, with the ability to influence various clinician, nurse, and lab technician personalities.
Education And Experience
  1. BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred; medical training (RN, cath lab technician, etc.) preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience; experience in the medical industry preferred.
  3. Strong clinical orientation; experience with products used in interventional cardiology and/or cardiac surgery is strongly preferred.
