Your Opportunity

Stantec's Downtown Los Angeles office is seeking a talented Project Manager with a strong background in electrical engineering of healthcare projects and exceptional client service skills. Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership in project management and relationship skills, leading integrated healthcare design teams and their interactions with Stantec's healthcare clients.
  2. The successful Project Manager will demonstrate a "client first" approach in developing key relationships.
  3. This individual strategically evaluates opportunities and challenges and incorporates well-developed consulting and technical skills into each client interaction.
  4. Applies technical and project management expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established time frames and budgets.
  5. Serves as a trainer, mentor, and resource to others through direct supervision of 3-5 team members.
  6. Holds project team members accountable for developmental goals, project deliverables, and team financial performance.
  7. Nurtures existing healthcare client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.
  8. Provide client consultation, drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of Stantec's services.
  9. Maintains current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project.
  10. May periodically act as Quality Control reviewer on projects.
  11. Effectively delegates work to production support staff.
  12. Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending offered training.
  13. Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support studio and firm-wide goals.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build projects.
  2. Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
  3. Understands and implements project management principles.
  4. Ability to manage clients, projects, fees, and teams to achieve budget, schedule, and deliverable objectives.
  5. Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines to deliver a coordinated design.
  6. Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  7. Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and low voltage systems for the built environment.
  8. Strong knowledge of healthcare teams in California including owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers operating within these markets.
  9. Experience with HCAI/OSHPD healthcare design is a plus but not required.
  10. Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects.
  11. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively support technical project consultation with key clients and stakeholders.
  12. Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP and SKM Power Tools.
  13. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  14. Travel is required to meet engagement/client requirements - may include regional, national, or international based on the contracted requirements.
  15. Stantec offers flexible work schedules, but Project Managers are expected to be in the office or on-site at least two days per week.
  16. Possess a valid driver's license.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated skills.
  3. EIT Registration or Equivalent is required.
  4. PE Registration is preferred.
  5. LEED AP Credential is preferred.
  6. Division of the State Architect (DSA) experience is preferred.

Salary Range(s):

  • CA Other Areas $97,100 - CA Other Areas $151,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
