Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee the operational aspects and scope of projects and department initiatives in New York. The role supports leadership, organizes conferences, and creates timelines and specifications to ensure successful delivery.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with 3+ years of relevant experience (masters) or 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree; project management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education
• 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree; project management-specific experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure goals/objectives are accomplished within time frame and funding parameters.
• Alters plans and makes recommendations for future project phases based on lessons learned.
• May participate in budget development for the project.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding, and procedures.
• Ensures staffing requirements and resource allocation meet project needs; may evaluate staff, vendors, and consultants.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase and arranges recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Confers with staff to outline work plan and assign duties and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for management and clients; provides technical advice and resolves problems.
• Oversees project participation to ensure timely communication and meeting project needs.
