Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks an experienced project/program manager to supervise and coordinate multiple large-scale initiatives aligning with the system's strategic goals. You will support cross-department collaboration, drive process improvements, and manage project lifecycles from inception to completion.

Requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with several years of healthcare project experience and certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or Lean/Six Sigma).

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Engineering, or related field with 4 years of project/program management experience, or
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project/program management in healthcare settings, or
• Bachelor’s Degree plus professional certification (PMP, PgMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma green belt or above, CSM, SAFe Agilist) and 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and execute non-clinical projects, programs, and strategic initiatives to support system-wide goals.
• Define project milestones, develop plans, and monitor progress including cost statements and change orders.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to develop implementation schedules and operational plans; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Monitor risks, develop contingency plans, and communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
