Job summary

HFG Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to support design development and construction documentation for healthcare facilities. You will lead technical production, coordinate with MEP and other engineers, ensure compliance with IBC, NFPA, FGI and ADA/ABA standards, and mentor junior staff.

Travel up to 10-15% is expected as projects progress, and you will work within a collaborative studio environment that values integrity, leadership, and innovation while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) required.
• Licensed Architect or on path to licensure within 12 months preferred.
• 5–10 years architectural experience, preferably healthcare or complex technical building types.
• Proficiency in Revit required; experience with Bluebeam, Rendering Structure, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of architectural drawings and specifications across SD, DD, CD, and CA phases.
• Ensure design intent is clearly documented and integrated into technical execution.
• Collaborate with engineers (MEP, Civil, Structural) to align vision with deliverables.
• Uphold consistency, accuracy, and completeness in all project documents.
• Manage design deliverables and contribute to project scheduling to meet milestones.
• Support Studio Director and Project Manager in monitoring profitability and risk.
• Ensure documentation complies with codes and coordinates with permitting authorities.
• Mentor and guide emerging professionals and interns.
