Job summary

• Follow proper cooking methods and temperatures for best yield.
• Maintain sanitation by cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Taste, smell, and inspect foods for quality and appearance.
• Ensure meals are prepared on time to meet serving schedules.
• Serve food according to dietary guidelines and check trays for accuracy.
• Monitor portion control to minimize waste.
• Prepare foods for staff, families, and events as directed.
• Prepare and serve meals per planned menus and diet plans.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diets are served.
• Attend in-service training to meet facility requirements.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
