Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to join our PM/CM team in New York City and Long Island. Lead owner’s representative duties on complex healthcare capital projects, including hospital, ambulatory care, and life sciences facilities.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and activation while controlling scope, schedule, and budget to ensure patient care outcomes. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of project management experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or institutional facilities.
• Capital projects valued at $10 million+.
• Experience as Owner's Representative/PM in healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of healthcare facility planning, design, construction, commissioning, and activation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with budgets, cost control, schedules, risk logs, and contracts.
• Experience delivering MEP infrastructure projects in occupied healthcare environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner's representative for healthcare capital and MEP projects from planning through occupancy and closeout.
• Lead project teams of architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Coordinate day-to-day execution across programming, budgeting, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, activation, move management, and closeout.
• Track budgets, forecasts, cash flow, invoices, and financial performance indicators.
• Maintain project schedules, milestone logs, and deliverable trackers; escalate issues.
• Oversee design development and construction to ensure compliance with contracts and healthcare regulations.
• Facilitate meetings with client leadership, clinical users, facilities teams, and designers/constructors.
• Evaluate risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues affecting cost/schedule/quality.
• Review and negotiate change orders, pay applications, and consultant agreements.
• Coordinate project communication and reporting for executives and stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities and bid evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and life safety measures during construction.
• Mentor junior PM staff and contribute to PM best practices.
