Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Performance Improvement Professional (PIP) to design, implement, and sustain health care delivery programs that improve safety, efficiency, equity, timeliness, and patient-centered care across populations. You will collaborate with patient care leaders to align initiatives with our system's strategic plan and drive measurable care improvements.

The role emphasizes leading strategic PI projects, reviewing literature for best practices, and developing action plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with certification in a relevant field.
• Three (3) years of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or supervision.
• Professional certifications (Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, CPHQ, CPPS) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance improvement activities with team leaders to achieve system goals.
• Review literature for best practices and collaborate with leaders for implementation.
• Develop and deploy process changes and training plans to change care processes.
• Establish evaluation plans and prepare quarterly results reports for leaders.
• Contribute to publications or presentations within health care systems.
• May perform unit/department duties as outlined in department documents.
