Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll processing for about 2,000 employees across 90+ locations in Central Ohio. The role includes 401k contributions, garnishments, and benefit deductions.

The position is full-time and benefits eligible, with standard hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, located in Westerville, OH. Experience with Workday/HRIS and healthcare payroll is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or GED.
• Required: Five (5) years of hands-on payroll processing experience including garnishments, W-2, and tax filing.
• Required: Three (3) years of Accounting General Ledger experience.
• Required: Ability to work on Sundays and/or Holidays when payroll deadline requires.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Preferred: Payroll experience in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payrolls accurately across multiple local tax jurisdictions.
• Review timecards, earnings, deductions, and benefit elections for accuracy.
• Handle garnishments and other court-ordered deductions.
• Assist with year-end data review and compliance.
• Administer 401k contributions and loan payments.
• Generate payroll reports and respond to employee payroll questions.
