Job summary

Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation is seeking a Travel Coordinator to arrange patient transportation for medical care across in-region and out-of-region facilities. You will work with providers, care teams, and third-party payers to ensure smooth travel logistics and proper documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating air and ground travel, lodging, meals for patients and escorts, managing reimbursement workflows, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and payer policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Three years in a healthcare setting; experience with TPAs such as Alaska Medicaid preferred.
• Yup'ik language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient travel including air/ground, lodging, and meals for in-region and out-of-region care.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and teams across the Corporation.
• Utilize multiple computer systems to gather and document information (SharePoint, Cerner, AFHCAN, Workflow).
• Manage logs for Medicaid vouchers and lodging/meal cards; prepare invoices and reimbursements.
