Job summary

US Heart & Vascular in Sugar Land, TX, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee clinic operations under the Regional President. You will optimize business processes, support billing and collections, and ensure compliance with company policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in health/business administration and at least 10 years of supervisory experience in physician practice management. Occasional travel is expected to clinics and flexibility with a day schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of supervisory/management experience in a physician practice management environment.
• Experience with electronic practice management (EPM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between clinic managers/staff and Home Office to ensure smooth billing and collections.
• Coordinates with senior management to resolve organizational problems, including EPM troubleshooting and marketing.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, clinic managers, department directors and the executive team to improve quality, efficiency and ongoing improvement.
• Consults with peers and advises on problems affecting billing and operations at the clinic level.
• Initiates corrective action plans in response to unfavorable results and trends.
• Identifies training needs and implements delivery and follow-up of training.
• Develops and implements performance goals to achieve company/clinic objectives.
• Monitors cash collections and accounts receivable for each clinic.
• Ensures effective point-of-service processes to maximize revenue at the time of service.
• Supports office managers on staff productivity, FTE management, overtime minimization, and financial performance.
• Regularly travels to clinics to provide leadership and maintain positive relations with physicians.
