Job summary

Medstaff Group is seeking a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to guide operations across multiple outpatient locations in the New York metro area. The role requires active leadership, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to scale systems as the network grows.

The executive will develop and standardize workflows, establish KPI-driven reporting, and partner with senior leadership to achieve strategic goals; travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare clinic operations leadership experience is required.
• Significant experience managing multiple outpatient practice locations.
• Proven success leading operational growth within a healthcare organization.
• Strong understanding of practice management, workflow optimization, staffing models, and operational performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to build systems, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Self-starter who thrives with broad objectives rather than highly structured direction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel between practice locations as needed.
• Must currently reside within the Greater New York City metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across multiple outpatient practice locations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that support continued growth and expansion.
• Standardize workflows, policies, procedures, and best practices across all sites.
• Establish operational KPIs, reporting structures, and accountability systems.
• Partner closely with ownership and senior leadership to execute organizational goals.
• Build scalable systems that improve patient experience, staff efficiency, and financial performance.
• Travel regularly between practice locations to provide hands-on operational oversight.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions that drive measurable results.
• Lead practice managers and regional leaders while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Support site openings, acquisitions, integrations, and expansion initiatives.
• Create operational infrastructure that can scale as the organization continues to grow.
