Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks a proven Chief Operating Officer to lead hospital and ambulatory operations. Reporting to the President, you will align organizational design, drive patient-centered care, and foster a culture of accountability across a multi-hospital system in Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in hospital operations, quality improvement, facilities, and real estate, with a track record of innovation and high performance.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (clinical background preferred).
Minimum of 10 years in healthcare leadership, including at least 5 years in an executive role within a multi-hospital system.
Experience leading in a matrixed organization and in service line operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute organizational strategy for Lahey Clinic and BILH.
Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring patient-centered care and safety.
Drive operational excellence and performance improvement across departments.
Partner with leadership to develop and grow key service lines aligned with community needs.
Provide mentorship and strategic direction to senior leaders.
