Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation invites applications for a Nutrition Services Manager to lead our Nutrition Services Department, directing patient, staff and guest nutrition support and ensuring policy compliance. You will oversee budgeting, purchasing, menu development, safety and quality in a hospital setting.

Key qualifications include a Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician registration, an associate degree in food service, and at least three years of supervisory healthcare

Qualifications

• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making and independent work skills.
• Three years of supervisory experience in food service, preferably healthcare.
• Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician registration if required by state or regulatory agency.
• Active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics if mandated by state or regulatory agency.
• Graduate of an associate degree program in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Departmental budget related to the position.
• Purchase, receive and inventory control of food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation, temperature and handling per regulations (HACCP).
• Determine quality, quantity and portion size of food and ensure proper handling.
• Ensure adequate staffing and management of department employees.
• Coordinate production for patient meals and cafeteria line.
• Develop cafeteria menu as needed.
• Purchase food and assist with duties for special needs or occasions.
