Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Nutrition Services Director to lead and direct our Nutrition Services Department. You will set policies, guide cafeteria management, budgeting, purchasing, staff development and safety practices to support patient healing.

Ideal candidates will have a Registered Dietitian or comparable credential with substantial healthcare food service leadership experience, and a strong background in HACCP and hospital nutrition operations.

Qualifications

• RD/RDN or CDM with CBDM or an executive chef qualification required.
• Three to five years of healthcare clinical nutrition or executive chef experience required.
• Ten plus years healthcare food service experience, or five plus years healthcare management experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, administration, and operation of hospital food services; HACCP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental budget and financial controls for the Nutrition Services Department.
• Handle purchasing, receiving, and inventory control of food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation, proper temperatures, and safe food handling per regulations.
• Determine quality, quantity and portion sizes of food and ensure proper handling.
• Ensure adequate staffing and effective management of department staff.
• Coordinate production for patient meals and cafeteria service.
• Develop cafeteria menus as needed.
• Assist with purchasing for special needs or occasions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Culinary Arts
