Job summary

University of Miami is seeking a Systems Architect 2, MLOps Engineer to independently design, develop and deploy clinical applications and ML/AI workloads. You will lead cross-functional projects, collaborate with data scientists and clinicians, and ensure scalable, compliant solutions across hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.

Required are 8+ years in systems architecture/DevOps/MLOps, strong Python and ML framework skills, and experience mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in systems architecture, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments, Azure preferred.
• Strong Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) proficiency.
• Experience mentoring data teams and leading projects.
• Healthcare/academic setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and deployment of clinical applications.
• Mentor senior analysts and oversee complex projects with high impact.
• Identify system improvements to enhance workflows and patient care.
• Build and maintain ML/AI infrastructure for reproducibility.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for ML models and deployments.
• Collaborate with data scientists and clinical stakeholders.
