Job summary

Susitna Surgery Center is seeking a Medical Materials Manager to oversee the facility's supply chain, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies. You will ensure timely availability for all departments while maintaining compliance with regulations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical teams, suppliers, and corporate supply chain partners to optimize utilization, control costs, and maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required.
• 4+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily materials management operations, including purchasing, receiving, inventory, and distribution of supplies.
• Monitors inventory levels and usage trends to avoid overages or shortages.
• Coordinates purchasing activities per contracts and vendor lists.
• Ensures accurate processing of purchase orders, receipts, and returns in MMIS.
• Collaborates with departments to evaluate supply needs and standardize products.
• Maintains documentation and reports related to purchasing, receiving, and inventory activities.
