Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Materials Handler to coordinate routine and scheduled supply needs, support Receiving, Distribution, Central Service, Linen, Par Stock, Copy Center and Mailroom, and provide customer service with integrity and excellence.

The role focuses on inventory control, order processing, and delivering supplies, with responsibilities including data entry and shift work, to ensure optimal stock levels across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Experience in materials management within a healthcare setting (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inventories and maintains adequate supply levels. Maintains inventory control and ordering.
• Interacts with internal/external customers to discuss availability and recommendations.
• Orders, receives supplies and stocks/delivers to assigned locations; verifies packing slips.
• Maintains department statistics and updates documents as needed.
• Performs other duties, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and shifts.
