Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join the Gray Birch Long-Term Care location. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, structures and grounds throughout the facility.

You will be part of an on-call rotation every 5th week and assist with installation, testing and maintenance of machinery, equipment and systems. The position also involves keeping installation records, stocking parts and maintaining grounds as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to think and work independently and communicate with staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installation, testing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or with tradespersons.
• Maintains records of installations.
• Takes inventory of repair parts and supplies.
• Performs maintenance of grounds as needed and scheduled.
