Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Distribution Technician to support supply chain operations across Brown University Health facilities in Providence, RI. You will perform duties from receiving to stocking and delivering patient care supplies, ensuring accuracy and inventory integrity.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate pallet jacks and reach trucks, and adhere to safety and QA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or greater than five years relevant experience.
• Ability to use distribution equipment including electric pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and practice standards in accordance with established system policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Recognizes or anticipates problems and refers them immediately to the appropriate person for resolution if needed.
• Follows established processes to ensure uninterrupted supply of equipment and supplies to support Supply Chain Operations.
• Counts, organizes, orders, delivers, picks, packages, put away, inspects, and/or receives equipment and supplies as needed.
• Maintains stock in assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner with proper labels and organization.
• Orders according to par levels, reorder points, package size, unit of measure, and reorder quantities.
• Implements inventory management processes including FIFO rotation.
• Manages product recall and substitution communications as necessary.
• Acts on optimization reports such as cycle counts, stock audits, discrepancies, and reconciliations.
• Receives material by verifying packaging contents and reviewing related documents.
• Delivers supplies to Brown University Health locations using appropriate vehicles.
• Replenishes patient and ancillary supply carts and maintains stock in patient areas.
• Interacts with suppliers to confirm deliveries or initiate returns.
• May provide guidance and training to new employees in supply chain operations.
