Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Distribution Technician to support Supply Chain Operations at Newport facilities. You will perform stock counts, receive and deliver supplies, and maintain orderly storage areas while upholding quality standards and safety policies.

You will work with caregivers and departments, using equipment like pallet jacks and reach trucks, and participate in inventory processes, recalls, and vendor communications in a day shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; five years relevant experience or more.
• Ability to operate distribution equipment including electric pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license if driving is required.
• Strong numerical and clerical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and stock levels across facilities.
• Receive, count, organize, and deliver supplies.
• Prepare and label storage areas; manage par levels and FIFO.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries.
• Assist with recalls and substitutions; perform cycle counts.
• Provide guidance to new staff as needed.
