Job summary

Tal Healthcare is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to strengthen employee relations across clinical departments and APPs. The role involves fact-finding, addressing accommodation requests, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR policies.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with unions, and serve as a liaison between staff and management, reporting to senior leadership. This is a full-time on-site role in New York.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in labor or employee relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related discipline; certifications are a plus.
• Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR policies.
• Healthcare or unionized environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fact-finding and assist in resolving labor and employee relation issues.
• Handle accommodation requests in line with legal and organizational guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, LOAs, MLOA) and HR policies.
• Support compliance with labor agreements and policies.
• Collaborate with unions such as 1199, PTCC, Doctors Council; not involved in bargaining.
• Mentor and train new team members in employee relations and employment law.
• Serve as a liaison between staff and management on employee concerns.
