American Senior Communities is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents and uphold high sanitation standards in our Indiana kitchens.

You will follow menus, lead kitchen staff, and ensure timely, appealing meals while maintaining a clean work area compliant with state and federal regulations. Prior healthcare food service experience is preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred sanitation/safe food handling certification.
• Experience in institutional or healthcare food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares menus meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks palatable, attractive meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, trays, and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
