Job summary

Move Vertical in San Diego, CA is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support to clinical and administrative staff across the health system. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals, and installing/configuring equipment.

You will support Microsoft 365 applications in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and capable of documenting steps in a ticketing system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current HIPAA training/certificate required.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows computers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and independently.
• Ability to document work accurately in a ticketing system.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working around patient and healthcare information.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and basic Tier 2 technical support to healthcare staff.
• Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
• Install, configure, deploy, and replace computers and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Assist users with password resets, account-access issues, and basic Microsoft 365 applications.
• Support network connectivity, Wi‑Fi, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Respond to help desk tickets and document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT support team.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation and account setup.
• Maintain accurate equipment and asset records.
• Follow established cybersecurity, privacy, and information‑security procedures.
• Provide professional technical assistance to clinical and non‑clinical users.
• Protect confidential patient and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Travel between nearby healthcare facilities may occasionally be required.
• Perform other IT support duties as assigned.
