Job summary

The Orthopaedic Institute in Gainesville, FL is hiring an IT Specialist to provide Tier 1–2 support for end-user devices, software, and clinical systems. You will troubleshoot issues, deploy equipment, and ensure secure access for physicians and staff.

On-site role with travel to multiple Florida locations as needed. Requires strong customer service, HIPAA awareness, and the ability to work independently in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, or equivalent with experience.
• 1–3 years of professional IT support or service desk experience.
• Strong troubleshooting of Windows desktops/laptops in business environments.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and AD/Entra ID.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, WiFi).
• Experience with IT ticketing/ITSM platforms.
• Security basics: endpoint protection, access controls, data protection.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support to physicians, staff, and end users.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, software, and connectivity issues.
• Support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Assist with Active Directory/Entra ID user accounts and access issues.
• Support mobile devices and Intune management.
• Support clinical systems like EHR/EMR and PACS as needed.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ITSM system.
• Coordinate with vendors and travel between Florida locations.
