Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc is seeking an IT Program Manager to coordinate Revenue Cycle IT initiatives and drive cross-functional alignment across clinical and billing systems. You will centralize intake, validate requirements, and align IT milestone ownership to ensure efficient execution.

Candidates should have healthcare IT experience, familiarity with Epic applications (Prelude, Cadence, HIM, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing), and strong stakeholder management to influence without direct

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer science or a relevant field preferred; alternative 5+ years experience accepted
Certification and experience in Epic applications (Prelude, Cadence, HIM, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing) preferred; PMP preferred or obtained within 18 months
Experience in healthcare IT environments and familiarity with ServiceNow and Wave or similar tools
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills; ability to influence without direct authority

Responsibilities

Coordinate IT ownership alignment for initiatives and assign IT Milestone Owners
Review and validate initiative documentation (BRD/TDD, scope, dependencies)
Support scope definition and risk assessment for technical programs
Identify cross-project risks and drive mitigation planning
Build relationships across IT, operations, and business leadership; resolve conflicts
Track IT milestones and support execution alignment
Translate technical concepts to diverse audiences
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with strong organizational skills
