Job summary

State of Florida—Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking a Medical/Health Care Program Analyst to support IT applications, requirements, and governance. Responsibilities include JAD sessions, documentation, process mapping, and coordinating with PMO and end users to implement legislative and system enhancements.

The role emphasizes quality outcomes, transparency, and cost-effective health policy, with mission-essential duties and potential weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of business analysis for software development projects and data collection.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps or Jira, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects.
• Comfort working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather detailed requirements from subject matter experts and document results.
• Prepare agendas, summaries, and action items for project teams.
• Create process maps, BRDs, design specs, test scripts, and training materials.
• Collaborate with PMs, end users, and developers on UI and functionality.
• Maintain project docs on SharePoint; submit weekly status reports.
• Keep Azure DevOps items updated with epics, features, tasks, and sprints.
• Provide admin support to AHCA Project Governance as needed.
• Identify problems and develop optimal solutions.
