Job summary

Greater El Monte Community Hospital is seeking an Information Technology Manager to lead the IT department's operations and project delivery in a healthcare setting. You will identify opportunities, oversee system installations and upgrades, coordinate staff, and ensure timely support for supported applications.

This role requires Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS or related field, with a Master’s preferred, plus 1–3 years IT management experience in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare IT management experience is desired in a hospital setting.
• Experience with application development, support and change control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages human resources to assure quality services and promotes positive employee relations.
• Optimizes group performance given multiple competing demands on limited resources and recommends creative ways of using institutional resources.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical/business practices to identify, develop, install and administer systems solutions.
• Maintains operational excellence and ensures quality services per policies and standards.
• Plans for and manages all assigned application projects.
• Maintains relationships with application vendors.
• Ensures proper use of data through policy and training.
• Manages Change Control for applications.
• Oversees fiscal management of the department and resource utilization.
• Attains goals within time frames aligned to the organization’s mission.
• Participates in required Safety Training and adheres to safety plans.
