Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a Manager of IT in Granite City, IL to lead the Information Systems group and oversee daily IT operations across the hospital and affiliates. The role demands strong technical leadership, coordination with departments, vendors, and Staff, and focus on secure, reliable technology that supports patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in a related field, 5+ years in IT with supervisory experience, and healthcare IT exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive IT experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with complex healthcare technology environments preferred.
• IT certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver's license required if travel between locations is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and support of the hospital's information technology environment.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and related technology.
• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot systems and applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Support LAN/WAN, wireless, telecommunications, and related technology.
• Assist with updates, patches, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation of systems and configurations.
• Support information security and access controls.
• Participate in downtime, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Evaluate technology needs and recommend solutions.
• Provide technical support during system implementations and projects.
