Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services seeks an Information Technology Manager to lead Systems Administration and Help Desk teams, oversee daily IT operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and infrastructure management to support high-quality behavioral health services in Kitsap County.

In this leadership role you will supervise IT staff, manage projects, ensure business continuity, and align technology with organizational goals, while delivering excellent customer service in a mission-driven healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field.
• Five+ years of IT experience in infrastructure, systems administration or cybersecurity.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Bachelor's required; Master's preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
• Maintain secure, reliable, cost-effective technology standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including endpoint protection, access controls, email security, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate incident response, security assessments, audits, remediation, awareness activities, and policy compliance.
• Report cybersecurity risks, incidents, and improvement recommendations to leadership.
• Manage Help Desk, infrastructure operations, service delivery, backups, and system restoration.
• Prioritize and assign operational, support, security, maintenance, and project work.
• Monitor service levels, system performance, workloads, and operational trends to improve service delivery.
• Manage technology components of the agency’s business continuity and disaster recovery program.
• Partner with department leaders to identify critical systems, dependencies, recovery priorities, and readiness gaps.
• Coordinate testing, corrective actions, and report on continuity risks and recovery readiness.
• Manage technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems projects from planning through operational transition.
• Coordinate IT staff, departments, vendors, and stakeholders; communicate progress, risks, resource needs, and key decisions.
• Serve as a liaison between IT and agency departments and communicate technical information clearly to leadership and staff.
• Maintain appropriate staffing and after-hours coverage; establish clear responsibilities, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Representing IT in meetings, workgroups, and vendor engagements.
