Job summary

Merrimack Health is seeking a Clinical Systems Informatics Analyst to bridge clinical operations with Information Technology. You will translate clinical needs into EHR and clinical application solutions, design and optimize workflows, and support system configurations and upgrades.

Ideal candidates have direct clinical experience, strong analytical and technical aptitude, and a passion for improving patient care through technology. Nursing background is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• Minimum of three years healthcare experience with clinical operations knowledge.
• Direct clinical experience in acute care or similar setting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with electronic health records or clinical information systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between clinicians, providers, operational leaders, IT, and vendors to develop clinical tech solutions.
• Apply clinical workflow knowledge to design, configure, build, implement, support, and optimize the EHR and other clinical applications.
• Analyze clinical and operational workflows and identify opportunities for standardization, improved efficiency, patient safety, usability, and automation.
• Gather and translate clinical and operational requirements into system configuration, application design, and workflow solutions.
• Perform or support configuration, build, testing, validation, implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations for assigned clinical systems.
• Troubleshoot application and workflow issues, identify root causes, coordinate resolution, and document changes.
• Partner with clinical leaders and frontline staff to evaluate performance and adoption of new tech.
• Provide education, coaching, and on-site support to users and super users.
• Participate in governance, change control, project activities, and system upgrades.
• Maintain knowledge of applications, informatics practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and after-hours support as required.
