Centra Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to bridge clinical and IT teams, optimize EHR-driven workflows, and guide the integration of healthcare technology. The role involves education on EHR utilization, data reporting, and aligning clinical operations with IT plans.

You will collaborate with nursing, physicians, and leadership to improve caregiver satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and patient care outcomes in a hybrid work environment, with residence in the Lynchburg area

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a clinical setting.
Experience with health information systems is a plus.
Ability to translate clinical needs into actionable requirements for IT.

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT teams to ensure effective integration of healthcare technology.
Align IT and clinical operations to optimize EHR-driven workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes and care delivery.
Collaborate with clinicians and leaders to solve problems and enhance system use.
Participate in reviews of EHR releases and upgrades to assess impact on clinicians.
Communicate EHR changes to caregivers and customize content to support workflow.
Perform rounds to gain insight into informatics services in context.
Promote adoption of clinical applications and data-driven performance metrics.
