Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital is seeking an ITS Help Desk Specialist to be the first point of contact for physicians, clinic and hospital staff needing IT assistance. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and peripheral issues via phone, email, remote access or in person.

The role emphasizes strong communication, ticket documentation, and teamwork within the Information & Technology Services group to maintain reliable IT systems for patient care in a rural community.

Qualifications

• Proven IT support experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Familiarity with Windows, Office Suite, basic networking.
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level hardware, software, network, printer and peripheral support.
• Troubleshoot issues using remote desktop tools or in person.
• Respond to helpdesk tickets; document issues and solutions.
• Escalate unresolved issues to ITS staff as needed.
• Set up, configure and install workstations, printers, phones and related equipment.
• Educate users on proper use of technology tools and software.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of hospital data.
• Assist with system upgrades and IT projects.
• Participate in on-call rotation or after-hours support.
• Continuously expand knowledge in healthcare IT environment.
