Dutech Systems is seeking a senior healthcare integration engineer to design and implement HL7 v2 and FHIR interfaces, REST APIs, and data mappings. You will build secure portals, enforce RBAC, and ensure compliant data handling across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work with AWS HealthLake, Snowflake, eICR, and public health data workflows, applying best practices in testing, CI/CD, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of software development or healthcare integration experience.
• Minimum 5 years designing, developing, testing, and supporting healthcare interfaces (HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, JSON, XML).

• Develop and maintain healthcare data integration solutions including mapping, transformation, validation, and error handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support healthcare interfaces using HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Develop and maintain healthcare data integration solutions, including data mapping, transformation, validation, troubleshooting, and error handling.
• Implement and integrate FHIR servers, FHIR APIs, and healthcare interoperability solutions.
• Develop secure web portals and portal-integrated services to retrieve and display healthcare data.
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and secure coding practices.
• Implement FHIR solutions using US Core profiles, Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Implementation Guides, and other HL7 Implementation Guides.
• Map, transform, and validate healthcare data across HL7 v2, FHIR, and analytical data models.
• Work with healthcare terminology standards, including SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CVX, and RxNorm.
• Implement healthcare interoperability solutions on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Integrate healthcare data with cloud-based ingestion pipelines, storage services, analytics platforms, and enterprise data platforms.
• Follow modern application delivery practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, unit and integration testing, and code reviews.
• Perform production support, defect tracking, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, healthcare integration, or related technical roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting healthcare interfaces using HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and healthcare data exchange technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience developing secure web portals or portal-integrated healthcare services.
• 3 years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• 3 years of experience implementing FHIR solutions using US Core profiles, Electronic Case Reporting Implementation Guides, and other HL7 Implementation Guides.
• 3 years of experience integrating with or implementing FHIR servers, FHIR APIs, and healthcare interoperability solutions.
• 3 years of experience mapping, transforming, and validating healthcare data across HL7 v2, FHIR, and analytical data models.
• 3 years of experience working with healthcare terminology standards such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CVX, and RxNorm.
• 3 years of experience implementing FHIR solutions on AWS or similar cloud platforms and integrating healthcare data with cloud-based data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• 3 years of experience with modern application delivery practices, including Git, automated builds, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, defect tracking, logging, monitoring, and technical documentation.
• 1 year of experience with AWS HealthLake, Snowflake, eICR, public health reporting, disease surveillance, and technologies such as React, FastAPI, and Terraform.
