Futran Solutions in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Senior FHIR API Developer to design, develop and implement healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 FHIR standards. • 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years hands-on HL7 FHIR implementation.
• Expertise in REST APIs, microservices, JSON and XML.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards FHIR, HL7, X12, CCDA.
• Experience with AWS services and DevOps pipelines.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop RESTful APIs based on HL7 FHIR R4/R5 standards
• Implement healthcare interoperability solutions involving FHIR, HL7 v2, CCDA and X12 EDI
• Develop and maintain APIs for Patient, Member, Coverage, Claims, Prior Authorization and Provider Directory use cases
• Create mappings between legacy systems and FHIR resources
• Implement SMART on FHIR, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT-based security
• Work with FHIR platforms such as HAPI FHIR, Smile CD R, Azure Health Data Services or AWS Health Lake
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts and healthcare SMEs to deliver end-to-end API solutions
• Lead code reviews, performance tuning, production support and mentoring
• Support CMS Interoperability Patient Access and Payer-to-Payer APIs and Prior Authorization initiatives
• Participate in cloud-native deployments, CI/CD, automation and API governance

We are seeking an experienced Senior FHIR API Developer to design develop and implement healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 FHIR standards The candidate will be responsible for building scalable APIs integrating healthcare systems and supporting CMS interoperability initiatives across payer and provider environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs based on HL7 FHIR R4R5 standards


• Implement healthcare interoperability solutions involving FHIR HL7 v2 CCDA and X12 EDI transactions


• Develop and maintain APIs for Patient Member Coverage Claims Prior Authorization and Provider Directory use cases


• Create mappings and transformations between legacy healthcare systems and FHIR resources


• Implement SMART on FHIR OAuth 20 OpenID Connect and JWTbased security models


• Work with FHIR platforms such as HAPI FHIR Smile CDR Azure Health Data Services or AWS Health Lake


• Collaborate with architects business analysts and healthcare SMEs to deliver end-to-end API solutions


• Lead code reviews performance tuning production support and technical mentoring activities


• Support CMS Interoperability Patient Access Payer to Payer and Prior Authorization API initiatives


• Participate in cloud native deployments CICD automation and API governance activities

Required Skills

• 8 years of software development experience


• 3 years of hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR implementation


• Expertise in REST APIs Microservices JSON XML and API Integration


• Experience with healthcare standards FHIR HL7 X12 CCDA


• Knowledge of Healthcare Payer Provider workflows including Claims Benefits Membership and Prior Authorization


• Good experience with AWS services eg EC2 Lambda S3 API Getway DynamoDB and other major services


• Familiarity with DevOps tools Docker Kubernetes and CICD pipelines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CMS Interoperability and Patient Access regulations


• Knowledge of Da Vinci Implementation Guides CRD DTR PAS


• Healthcare payer experience with organizations such as BCBS CVS Elevance Humana or UnitedHealthcare


• Prior technical leadership or architecture experience
