Job summary

TruHealth is seeking a detail-oriented Intake Specialist to manage referral and intake processes. You will verify benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure timely processing of referrals for assigned facilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/scheduling systems is expected.

Travel may be required and flexibility in hours is needed. This role supports a healthcare environment with focus on accuracy and compliance in processing referrals and admissions.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in a healthcare related environment preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Travel required and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Receives, screens and processes all referral information.
• Performs verification of benefits: verify benefits, payment method and amount, obtain prior authorization.
• Assign appropriate payer category and scan information back to requesting facility.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all referrals/admissions; back-up for review of potential insurance contracts.
