Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialized training in HVAC/refrigeration (certificate, apprenticeship, or equivalent).
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boilers and hydronic heating equipment.
• Troubleshoot HVAC/hydronic electrical and control components (VFDs, sensors, relays).
• Respond to service calls and work orders with priority to patient comfort and life-safety systems.
• Document work in CMMS and logs; support preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Coordinate work in clinical areas with staff to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Inspect and coordinate fire/smoke doors and dampers; ensure life-safety compliance.
• Support accreditation, regulatory readiness, and safety programs (OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE).
• Coordinate and oversee vendor/contractor work; participate in on-call rotations.
