McAlester Regional Health Center is seeking an experienced HVAC/Mechanical Technician to ensure optimal performance and safety of HVAC and mechanical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role emphasizes diagnostics, repairs, and adherence to safety protocols to minimize downtime and extend system life.

The candidate should hold an Oklahoma license (HVAC/Mechanical) and a Journeyman or Contractor license, with strong reading of electrical schematics and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Valid HVAC or Mechanical Technician license as required by the state.
• Active Oklahoma Mechanical Journeyman or Contractor License issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB).
• Complete and maintain required continuing education (CE) credits and meet the hospital’s licensing requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC or mechanical trade program.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Responsabilités

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
• Provide clear communication to clients regarding system status, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, prepare reports, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
• Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to complete large-scale mechanical projects efficiently.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and provide effective solutions to minimize system downtime.
