Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support 24/7 mission-critical building systems. You will maintain and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and HVAC systems and work with BAS from Siemens/Johnson Controls to ensure reliability in a regulated healthcare setting.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, clear communication, and collaborative work with O&M teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree Electronics or related Field.
• 4 years Electronic, building automated systems and pneumatic controls experience to include two years of electrical experience, or 2 years plus Journeyman Electrician license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair controls and equipment across 120/208/240/480V.
• Program microprocessors for initial commissioning and tune operating controls.
• Respond to customer service calls and facility emergencies including code red situations.
• Document corrective actions, labor hours, and materials on work orders; communicate with supervisors.
