Job summary
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an experienced facilities technician for night shifts to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. You will read schematics, work with building automation, and respond to emergencies, ensuring safety and reliability across critical infrastructure.
Required: 4 years in electronic/building automation systems with electrical experience; Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Preferred Associate's Degree in Electronics or related field.
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- Experience with building automation systems and electrical/pneumatic controls.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, HVAC and building automation systems.
- Read, interpret schematics and control diagrams; install and repair components.
- Respond to customer calls and emergencies; document actions and communicate with supervisor.
- Ensure safety compliance and uphold code standards during tasks.
