University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks an experienced Senior HVAC Mechanic to maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems across the campus. You will lead technicians, troubleshoot via BAS, and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to support patient care and research operations.

The role emphasizes mentoring, documentation in CMMS, and collaboration with vendors and stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable facilities and efficient energy use in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degrees preferred.
• Eight years of mechanical/HVAC experience including installation, repair and maintenance.
• EPA Universal Certification required; Texas license certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC issues via BAS and diagnostic tools.
• Coordinate workflow of technicians and coordinate with vendors.
• Document corrective actions, labor hours, and materials in CMMS.
• Precept and mentor staff when possible.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests.
