Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. in Boston is seeking an experienced HR Partner to provide consistent, high‑quality people support across the organization. You will collaborate with the Head of HR and HRBP team to coordinate operations, support managers, and implement programs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in HR, strong US employment law knowledge, and excellent communication. Onsite work at least 3 days/week with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR in generalist HR or HR operations.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws in the United States.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear, responsive, and professional communication skills.
• Practical problem-solving skills and a service-oriented approach.
• Ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers, and HR stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR questions, directing complex matters to the appropriate HRBP.
• Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, promotions, leaves, recruitment and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Prepare HR reports, presentations, and people data for the HRBP team.
• Coordinate HR processes such as performance cycles, organizational changes, workforce planning, and engagement activities.
• Support the delivery of HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with employee relations administration, documentation, and case tracking under HRBP guidance.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and other HR teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute to and drive HR projects, process improvements, audits, and compliance activities.
• Handle sensitive employee information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.
