The ideal candidate has strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex matters in unionized and nonunionized environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Hands-on experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, and complex personnel matters.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and applicable federal and Florida requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, workflows, and HR personnel.
• Advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate impartial workplace investigations, employee complaints, and conflict resolution.
• Assist in interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements and resolving grievances.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and HRIS data.
• Coordinate leave, accommodations, benefits processes, and personnel changes.
• Support compliance with federal and Florida employment laws and hospital policies.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and staffing initiatives.
• Support regulatory surveys, audits, policy development, and process improvement.
• Monitor HR performance indicators such as recruitment effectiveness, turnover, and employee relations trends.
