Job summary

NEW Health in rural Northeast Washington is seeking an HR leader to oversee recruitment, retention, and development initiatives that strengthen our healthcare team.

You will manage onboarding, coach managers on benefits and hiring processes, handle employee relations, and ensure compliance. This role maintains confidential HRIS records and supports leave administration. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required or strongly preferred.
• PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience in HR, especially in healthcare, is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of legal requirements affecting HR functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, retention and development initiatives.
• Manage onboarding for new employees and orientation processes.
• Coach managers on benefits, hiring processes and performance concerns.
• Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Maintain HR records with integrity and confidentiality; ensure compliance.
• Manage leaves (FMLA, PFML, ADA accommodations) and accommodations.
• Generate HR reports from HRIS and support benefits enrollment events.
