Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, seeks an experienced Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations for our behavioral health system. The role includes payroll processing, benefits coordination, employee relations, compliance with Joint Commission and internal policies, and coordinating training and orientation for staff across facilities.

The HR Director will partner with hospital leadership to define policies, manage recruitment and retention strategies,

Responsibilities

• Interprets hospital policies and disseminates information to employees.
• Coordinates recruitment, interviews, postings; performs reference and background checks.
• Sets up system of record keeping; maintains central personnel files and compliance.
• Completes paperwork for new hires, terminations, and personnel changes; organizes orientations and required trainings.
• Ensures employees are up to date on Licensures, CPR, orientation, and other requirements.
• Oversees performance appraisals and competency evaluation; notifies managers of due or delinquent appraisals; assists with performance issues.
• Responds to unemployment compensation inquiries and requests for information from outside companies.
• Develops programs to promote improved relations between employees; maintains knowledge of HR policy changes.
